Are you worried about your child’s attention and focus?
Could it be ADHD?
Difficulty with attention and focus can affect many aspects of life. Many students struggle to sit still, stay focused on schoolwork, prepare for tests, follow instructions, interact with peers, and maintain appropriate behavior.
If you’re concerned that your child may have ADHD, take note of these red flags:
  • Difficulty focusing on tasks
  • Needing repeated instructions
  • Weak listening skills
  • Easily distracted
  • Frequent forgetfulness or poor organization
  • Impulsive and easily frustrated
  • Often has trouble getting started on tasks
  • Constantly feeling restless or overly active

If you answered YES to four or more of these red flag behaviors, it’s likely that your child could benefit from support to improve their attention and focus.

What does the Cognitive Skills Assessment involve?
Each part of the assessment is designed to feel like a game, helping to keep the experience fun and stress-free for your child. We recommend presenting it to your child as a series of enjoyable brain games. The full assessment typically takes about one hour to complete.
How are you different than tutoring
Tutoring helps with academic subjects, while cognitive training focuses on strengthening core skills like memory, attention, and processing speed. By improving these underlying abilities, cognitive training creates a stronger foundation for learning and can enhance the results of tutoring—or sometimes even reduce the need for it.
How can cognitive testing benefit my child?
Parents often have an “Aha!” moment when they review the results of the assessment. We frequently hear comments like, “Now everything makes sense!” as the underlying reasons behind their child’s struggles — whether academic, social, or even in sports and daily life — are clearly revealed.
Even more importantly, the assessment results give parents the insight and answers they need to make confident, informed decisions about the best intervention to help their child thrive.
